How we got here
Overstock Christian Books began in 2002 as a small family business in Shelbyville, KY called Thee Book Shoppe. As the business grew and changed, we decided to move the business entirely online, bringing our ever-growing selection of Christian books, bibles, and reference materials available worldwide at incredibly low prices.
We’ve been online since 2004 and recently launched our new site, adding new inventory, site features, and an affiliate program for churches.
How we do it
It’s no secret how we are able to offer such low prices on our books. We buy overstock books directly from publishers. This means that someone ordered more books than they could sell, and returned what what was left. These are new books, but when this happens they are marked “overstock.” To prevent these new-condition books from wasting away in a warehouse, publishers sell them to folks like us at a discounted cost, which affords us to resell them at such amazing prices.

Our product
We sell new books that publishers sells to us in large volume to reduce their excess inventory. Sometimes publishers print too many copies, in other cases bookstores purchase too many copies and return them. Our entire inventory is listed on this web site. The inventory quantities are shown in real-time. Each time an order is completed, our inventory is accordingly reduced. This assures you of viewing accurate information of our stock and results in high order fulfillment rates. We stand behind everything we sell. We guarantee the product you receive is structurally sound and good for reading.
